Minnesota, Pittsburgh, and California

Obviously this is kind of a catch-up post...
so here we go.

MINNESOTA

Anybody who knows my dad knows that sweets are always part of the
picture somewhere along the line! haha
While in Minnesota we went to a local bakery.
Yum.

Their beautiful back yard

And yardwork/mowing was part of the visit for Matt and Maria
and then for Jacob and Hannah too.

It's really nice, after ALL the many years of being served by my parents,
to be able to serve them in return.

And of course a visit to MN wouldn't be complete without
a visit to the German restaurant!

 Here's a shot I never imagined haha

I always LOVE watching my Dad enjoy his food.
Especially if it's something sweet.

PENNSYLVANIA

Off to Pittsburgh for Tommy's memorial service.
At the end of the day all the siblings (plus Brian and Shannon)
went out to a wonderful seafood restaurant
in Pittsburgh.

Four flights in six days.

CALIFORNIA

So random - but a picture of the new kitchen.

Jacob and Vanya while she was here visiting

Hannah at a local Carlsbad Mexican restaurant
where we went for a margarita

Maria has been hard at work (and I mean hard) weeding all the landscape
around the house, and then laying mulch after Danny hurt his back.

This is a before shot of the overgrowth

And this is after.
AMAZING DIFFERENCE.

Jacob left to spend five weeks studying abroad in Costa Rica.

This is the room where he will basically spend his summer.

And here we have Maria feeding blueberries to the doggies!
They LOVE them.

This is a BEFORE shot of the front garden that
was completely overgrown, wild looking,
and in desperate need of weeding.

Maria literally pulled out single handedly all of this old, overgrown
stuff to make room for a new garden.
Which she took the time to conceive and then bring to life.

 These are the AFTER pictures.
Again, a HUGE transformation.
Just unbelievable!  I have never seen anyone work so hard.
(well maybe my dad)
And now it looks like a beautiful, well landscaped
garden spot.

THANK YOU MARIA!!!!
