This was our last day in Dublin, and we started off visiting Trinity College Library.
It houses the earliest copies of all four gospels - called the Book of Kells -
which Ireland considers to be it's greatest treasure.
Not only are these important to Christianity, they are also
the oldest medieval documents in the world.
These are the documents that monks would sit in monasteries and
hand-write in beautiful gold and colorful lettering.
(picture the Epcot ball - Spaceship Earth - and the monk sitting there snoring haha)
"Hand of the King?" haha
This entire library called The Long Room was captivating.
I really felt like I had died and gone to heaven.
All those gorgeous, old books!!
And the "stairway to heaven..."
We walked around Dublin a little more to grab a couple
souvenirs and a bite to eat.
The flowers!!!
Found me a leprechaun to bring home!
Absolutely fell in love with all the unique coffee shops around.
Then we left and drove about 2 hours to Kilkenny.
Very small and charming town, compared to Dublin.
SO MANY shops in both countries do the flowers around the doorway thing.
It's absolutely beautiful!
I could never resist taking pictures of all the flowers.
Another coffee stop.
We were getting a little tired of all the "British" food, meaning fish and chips,
stews, heavy sauces, potatoes, etc. so this night
we opted to try some Thai food.
It was interesting.
Gringotts Bank!
