We had to say good-bye to England and say hello to Ireland!
We flew from London to Dublin on Aer Lingus, and after a long line at customs,
we finally made it through, got our car, and drove to our hotel.
We quickly found out just how FRIENDLY all the people in Ireland are.
They genuinely want to make sure you have a good time.
Our first American "looking" bathroom with a walk in shower!! haha
It was, as expected, pouring rain, so we grabbed a bite to eat
at the hotel bar/restaurant.
Espresso martini - a new favorite!
We were too excited to be in Ireland to just sit in our room,
so we ventured out to a pub nearby.
We broke out our raincoats,
which in the end didn't save us from getting soaked.
We spent the evening back in our room laying out all our shoes and
clothes and using the blow-dryer to get our stuff dry!
I always wondered what a "carvery" was, and we found out here.
We didn't join in the eating,
but it's basically every kind of meat you can imagine all lined up
with various sides.
I guess in America it would be called a buffet.
We got the ole Irish welcome - friendliness, pubs, music, dancing and rain!
