We took Jacob into DC today for a reception welcoming accepted students. It was really nice, and very informative. I think Jacob is going to enjoy being a ROTC cadet with all that involves. Apparently their detachment is the best in the west! He should certainly be able to find some like-minded students.
It was an absolutely GORGEOUS day in DC - the blossoms were at their peak today, and so was the traffic!! Today was the Cherry Blossom festival/parade etc. Still it was nice to go down and see it all.
