Annapolis with Hannah

Hannah and I went away for her 16th birthday trip (a wee bit late I know) and we had such a wonderful time getting away from it all and relaxing in a historic inn, eating out, and shopping!

Our first night there we went out for sushi.  Best sushi I ever had.

Second day we went shopping.  And shopping.  And shopping some more.  We walked into a spice store and went absolutely crazy smelling all the fresh spice and teas.  Of course we made gifts out of some of those spices.

After a few hours of shopping we needed a break.  Of course that meant coffee!

And coffee in a comfy, overstuffed chair, well, it just doesn't get any better than that.

Hannah took time to check her texts and e-mails.

And then she just sat back and sipped on her refreshing drink.

We finished out the day with lots of antique shopping.  In one shop window was the cutest golden retriever who just hung out in the store window,  looking at people and drawing them in.

We stopped in at St. Ann's historic church and there was a free concert happening!  A baroque ensemble that sounded amazing with the acoustics of the church.  We felt so blessed - we would have paid for this concert and we just stumbled upon it free.  God sure did arrange some wonderful little blessings along the way of our trip. Friendly people, discounts at the antique store, we even found a little gift for everyone.

Here's my girl, lounging back in the room, looking at the antique Bible she purchased that day.

We won't ever forget the crab eggs benedict (two days in a row), leaving our movies in the car that was parked in the valet garage, finding little treasures for everyone, cuddling and giggling, ordering two desserts to go and pigging out later in the room, both of us finding a ring at the same store, and watching Saving Mr. Banks,
