Once Upon A Time...

...there were little children who used to love getting dressed up and going to the Harvest Party and enjoying some time with their favorite friends.  They would dream about their costumes and what they would be each year.  A bandit?  A firefighter?  A princess?  The world was open to them and exciting!  They could be anything they wanted to be!

Then they grew up. Nobody wanted to dress up anymore.  Nobody wanted to go trick or treating, or even have a fall party.  No more pumpkins were carved.  No candy corns were to be found.

Days came and went, and alas, there came a time where these children had families of their own and little ones to dress up and celebrate with.  Of course, their favorite place to go was to Grandma's house.

Shooting at the farm

Danny took Hannah and Ryan up to the farm to shoot yesterday.  It was a beautiful fall day and apparently it was a fun time!

Addiction Confessed

I have to confess I am 100% completely addicted to this show and have spent a lot of time lately watching it.  It is one of the best tv shows I have ever seen!  LOVE it!!  

Working on a painting

Today Hannah finished up the painting she has been working on.  It is a glorious masterpiece!  It deserves a post of it's own, which I will do probably tomorrow.

Missing Mom

Came across this picture the other day and it made me miss my mom.  This picture is PERFECT at depicting all that mom is and loves.  Well, almost.  She is sitting at the table, playing farkle, her glasses are nearby (which isn't always the case - often they just can't be found!) and she is sipping on a cup of coffee. There are fresh flowers and candles, both of which she enjoys.  There is also a cleaning rag there on the table - she probably just finished serving me by cleaning or dusting something. Her purse is always nearby as well, and she just looks content doing what she loves most.  Being with family,  playing games and sipping coffee after a day of hard work.

The sun peaked through for about five minutes today.  After days and days of rain and gloom it was nice. Short lived but nice.
