Last Summer Fling

Today Danny took Jacob and Hannah and some of their friends up to Hershey Park for a day of fun and adventure - by that I mean fast rides and roller coasters!  I am hoping they have some pictures for me to post when they get home... but that will be around midnight...

Rifle Practice - for Hannah!

Today Jacob's fortune from yesterday came true again - he took and passed with flying colors his physical fitness test for the academy!  

Then Hannah went up to rifle practice today.  She got her new shooting suit yesterday, but the pants didn't fit, so here she is with her own jacket and shoes.  Next time she won't have to go without her pants hopefully. 

That sounds terrible...

A rather large deliver came today.

He Passed!!

Pardon me if all my posts have been and will be about Jacob for the next days as his time at home is getting short... So, today is the result of his driving test!

We drove far far away (two hours to Cumberland) since in the entire state of Maryland this is the only place I could schedule a test before he heads off to college.  This is literally in the middle of nowhere.

We walked into the MVA and there was absolutely NO line.

 And no customers.

Through this door lies the big test.

 YAY he passed!  Said it was super easy!!

 We went out for sushi afterwards, and believe it or not, this is the fortune that Jacob got!!  It is UNREAL!!   I have never seen a fortune say that before and he got it today!  He also has a big test tomorrow - his physical fitness test for the academies - so hopefully this will apply to that as well!!

Matt's 25th Birthday

I cannot believe my first born turns 25 tomorrow.  It is unbelievable how time has flown, and what a man he has turned into.  I am sooooo proud of him and who he is!  He works hard at his job (and is very good at it) and just got a new job with a promotion from what he is doing - going to be moving up into more management  and be in charge of hiring and training other trainers among other things, eventually moving up into more corporate positions if he chooses.  

Today we celebrated his birthday - we went to Red Lobster for dinner, and then came home for carrot cake and gifts.

Mike and Indy

We are taking care of a friends dog for a week or so - he and Indy seem to do really well together!  Hannah is taking on most of the responsibility of caring for the little guy... soooo cute.
