Renaissance Festival

The Colorado Renaissance Festival was really awesome!  Sunny day, hot but not humid, and a little village built just for 8 weekends of the year!  There were tons of evergreen trees and views of the valleys and mountains too... you really feel like you stepped back in time.

A total surprise - a wonderful, delicious edible fruit and balloon arrangement from Ashley's parents!  So very very kind...

and flowers from the hubby...

Had breakfast at my favorite breakfast restaurant. And thank you Lord it was a beautiful day with sunny blue skies!

Car shopping

Today was a gorgeous day to go out and try to find a replacement for the used lemon we got last summer.  It has been a huge cash drain, so before it costs any more we are going to get rid of it!

Views from my bedroom

For those who haven't made it out here yet, I wanted to post some shots of our new house so today I started with the views from the master bedroom.  I never take it for granted and stare out that window every day.

Happy 4th!!

Enjoyed a beautiful day with great weather, popeyes chicken and the arrival of Jacobs special guest Ashley! We watched three different fireworks shows from our deck with no humidity and no bugs! A first in many years... the booms and bangs reverberated all across the pond and valley. It was awesome. We could smell the distinctive smell of the gunpowder and Jacob summed it all up in three, seemingly small words that spoke depths of meaning. "Smells like freedom."
